Precleared in HubSpot
Check whether a cold marketing email is allowed before sending it. Precleared returns the verdict, the rule with its source, footer requirements, the next step and a signed receipt.
Install
Install Precleared in the HubSpot portal you want to use. Approve the requested contact-read access. On the return page, choose where you send from: United Kingdom or United States. The default is United Kingdom. The settings link expires after one hour; install again to get a new link.
Install PreclearedThe install page says coming soon until the app's installation details are configured.
Contact card
Open any contact, click Customize, add a card, filter by App, pick Precleared and save the view. Opening it shows the latest check for that address, your portal's remaining allowance and buy and monthly-plan links. It does not spend a check. Choose Check to run a new check. A contact without an email address is not checked.
Country/Region accepts two-letter country codes and common country names. If it is empty or unrecognised, Precleared works the country out from the address, company records and website.
Workflow action
If you have HubSpot Professional or Enterprise workflows, add Check cold email permission before the step that sends the email, and only continue when Verdict is ok_to_email. Map the email address and, when known, recipient country, address source and pitch. Sender country uses your installation setting unless you supply United Kingdom or United States.
Branch on ok_to_email being the string true, or verdict being ok_to_email. Do not send for consent_needed, blocked, unknown or not_checked. Follow next_step and meet footer_requirement before sending. All action outputs are strings.

A repeated workflow callback returns its saved result without spending another check. Per-minute limits return 429 with Retry-After so HubSpot can wait. A completed check with missing facts still returns its verdict and receipt; it is not automatically retried.
Allowance, monthly plan and packs
Every new portal key starts with 14 days at 100 checks a day. Keep 100 a day for £15 a month with the monthly plan. Unused daily checks do not roll over. Cancel any time from /manage; the plan continues to the end of the paid month. Packs are used after the day's trial, plan or free allowance.
Each portal gets its own Precleared key behind the scenes. Everyone in that portal shares 25 free checks a day, resetting at midnight UK time. Checks then use prepaid credits. The normal limit is 60 checks a minute per key.
Buy links open the right checkout for your portal. The first-purchase starter pack is £9 for 300 checks. The standard pack is £39 for 2,000. Prepaid checks never expire. When no checks remain, the card shows a buy link and the action returns not_checked with the link in next_step.
The starter pack saves your card without enabling auto top-up. The standard checkout offers optional auto top-up, which buys £39 for 2,000 checks when credits reach 200 or below, within the chosen monthly cap. Auto top-up is off unless you choose it.
Data handling
HubSpot signs card and workflow requests. Precleared verifies the signature before checking a contact. We store installation details, check inputs, facts, verdicts, receipts and workflow callback results. We never store HubSpot access or refresh tokens.
Receipt links are public to anyone with the id and mask the recipient address. Read the privacy page for retention and deletion details.
