Check leads with Precleared before your agent adds them to Snov.io
If your AI agent runs Snov.io through Snov.io's MCP server, connect Precleared's MCP server next to it. Your agent checks each address first and adds only cleared recipients to your campaigns; the rest stay out, and you can keep them on a Snov.io do-not-contact list.
What you need
- A Precleared key. Every new key starts with 14 days at 100 checks a day, then your own 100 a day over MCP, no card needed. Get a free key.
- Snov.io's MCP server, which signs in with OAuth and takes no API key. Snov.io's pages differ on which plans include it, so check yours.
1. Connect both servers
In Claude.ai or the Claude desktop app, open Settings, Customize, Connectors, Add. Name it Snov.io, paste https://mcp.snov.io/mcp, then approve the access in Snov.io. Add Precleared with https://precleared.dev/mcp?src=guide-snov-io, or from the Claude directory. See Snov.io's MCP guide.
In Claude Code, add Precleared with:
claude mcp add --transport http precleared "https://precleared.dev/mcp?src=guide-snov-io" --header "Authorization: Bearer pc_live_..."
2. Give your agent the rule
Paste this into your agent's instructions, a project's instructions or a skill:
Before adding a new recipient to a Snov.io campaign, call Precleared's contact_check once for its email address. Send address_source (where you got the address) and sender_country, plus company_name and pitch when you know them. - ok_to_email: add the recipient to the campaign. Keep the receipt id with it. - consent_needed or blocked: don't add the recipient. List the address for your Snov.io do-not-contact list and note the next_step. - unknown: don't add the recipient yet. Supply the missing fact (recipient_country, default_recipient_country if all your prospects are in one country, or company_number), then check again. Every email must meet footer_text: usually who you are, a postal address and a way to opt out.
What happens to each lead
| Verdict | What your agent does in Snov.io |
|---|---|
ok_to_email | Adds the recipient to the campaign, keeping the receipt id |
consent_needed or blocked | Leaves the recipient out and lists the address for your do-not-contact list |
unknown | Holds the recipient until the missing fact is supplied, then checks again |
Good to know
- Snov.io's MCP tools can't edit do-not-contact lists. Add the listed addresses in Snov.io under Account settings, Do-not-contact lists, and attach the list to each campaign in its Prospects step before you launch. A list only works on campaigns it's attached to.
- Snov.io publishes its tool list as a spreadsheet rather than in its docs, so the rule describes the action and your agent picks the tool.
- Settings come from Snov.io's MCP guide as of 30 October 2026.
- The
?src=guide-snov-iotag on Precleared's address only tells us which guide you used. It doesn't change your allowance or your results.
Every check has a signed receipt. Open precleared.dev/r/ followed by its id to show a client why an email went out.
