Check leads with Precleared before your agent enrols them in Unify
If your AI agent runs Unify through Unify's MCP server, connect Precleared's MCP server next to it. Your agent checks each address first and enrols only cleared people in your sequences; the rest stay out.
What you need
- A Precleared key. Every new key starts with 14 days at 100 checks a day, then your own 100 a day over MCP, no card needed. Get a free key.
- Unify's MCP server. It signs in with your Unify login, or takes an API key from Settings, Developers in the
x-api-keyheader. It uses Unify chat credits.
1. Connect both servers
In Claude Code, install Unify's plugin and add Precleared, then restart and run /mcp to log in to Unify:
claude plugin marketplace add unifygtm/agent-plugins --scope user claude plugin install unify@unify-plugins --scope user claude mcp add --transport http precleared "https://precleared.dev/mcp?src=guide-unify" --header "Authorization: Bearer pc_live_..."
In other clients:
{
"mcpServers": {
"unify": { "url": "https://mcp.unifygtm.com/mcp", "headers": { "x-api-key": "YOUR_UNIFY_API_KEY" } },
"precleared": { "url": "https://precleared.dev/mcp?src=guide-unify", "headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer pc_live_..." } }
}
}See Unify's MCP docs.
2. Give your agent the rule
Paste this into your agent's instructions, a project's instructions or a skill:
Before enrolling a new person in a Unify sequence, call Precleared's contact_check once for their email address. Send address_source (where you got the address) and sender_country, plus company_name and pitch when you know them. - ok_to_email: enrol them with create_sequence_enrollment, and approve a draft enrolment with approve_sequence_enrollment. Keep the receipt id with the record. - consent_needed or blocked: don't enrol them. Note the next_step. - unknown: don't enrol them yet. Supply the missing fact (recipient_country, default_recipient_country if all your prospects are in one country, or company_number), then check again. Every email must meet footer_text: usually who you are, a postal address and a way to opt out.
What happens to each lead
| Verdict | What your agent does in Unify |
|---|---|
ok_to_email | Enrols the person in the sequence, keeping the receipt id |
consent_needed or blocked | Leaves the person out |
unknown | Holds the person until the missing fact is supplied, then checks again |
Good to know
- None of Unify's MCP tools adds an exclusion. On Business plans, set up exclusions under Settings, Exclusions, and switch them on per ruleset under Settings, Sequences, Rulesets.
- Tool names come from Unify's MCP tool list as of 30 October 2026. If they change, your agent sees the new names in the server's tool list.
- The
?src=guide-unifytag on Precleared's address only tells us which guide you used. It doesn't change your allowance or your results.
Every check has a signed receipt. Open precleared.dev/r/ followed by its id to show a client why an email went out.
